Summer vacation in Japan, a surge of tour guide applications from high school studentsNew!!

With the start of summer vacation, we are receiving many offers from high school students to volunteer as guides. They say that when they studied abroad, they were treated kindly by the local people and would like to return the favor. In our association, we start by educating new members. They attend training, participate in OJT (on-the-job training), and then conduct guided tours. We hope to hire them once they are able to continue their activities.

American senior couple enjoyed Ueno park and snow crab

It was really hot day, but American senior couple enjoyed temples, shrines and Shinobazu-pond with lotus flowers at Ueno park.  As husband liked snow crab, so we went a crab restaurant and we enjoyed crab lunch.

Family from Italy enjoyed Asakusa and Ueno park

9 years old daughter was very happy to get staffed toy “Teru Teru Bouzu” and handy Toy lantern imitating “Kaminarimon”. They also enjoyed hydrangea flower in Ueno Park though it’s a bit early for full blossom.

He was guided to visit ‘Old Tokyo’ and ‘New Tokyo’ and could enjoy its contrast. Ueno Park, Fukagawa Fudooson, Tomioka Shrine are at old part and Ohtemachi financial district and Tokyo Station are at new.

I guided two Canadian tourists around Kamakura. Although they were surprised at the number of tourists, they enjoyed the quietness of Houkokuji Temple and the wonderful bamboo forest.

Italian family enjoyed Asakusa, Harajuku and Shinjuku

Bright Italian family enjoyed Asakusa Sensouji, Harajuku Meijijingu, Oriental Bazar and Kiddy Land. And Shinjuku GOJIRA head, 3DCAT and observatory at Metropolitan government building. They also enjoyed nice Tonkatu (fried pork) at Imasen Harajuku.
