Summer vacation in Japan, a surge of tour guide applications from high school studentsNew!!

With the start of summer vacation, we are receiving many offers from high school students to volunteer as guides. They say that when they studied abroad, they were treated kindly by the local people and would like to return the favor. In our association, we start by educating new members. They attend training, participate in OJT (on-the-job training), and then conduct guided tours. We hope to hire them once they are able to continue their activities.

It was already a week we left Japan and came back to home and back to our normal life. According to the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO), the number of foreign visitors to Japan in April totaled 3,042,900, exceeding 3 million for the second consecutive month.

The number of tour guide requests to the Kashiwa Goodwill Guide Association was 40 (131 people), and guides were available for 19 days, guiding 65 people.

Forecast for cherry blossom blooming in 2024

The Japan Weather Association has announced the “2024 Cherry Blossom Bloom Forecast”. The first cherry blossoms in Japan bloom on March 19th in Fukuoka and Kochi. March 20th in Tokyo. Hokkaido is expected to open on April 27th.
