A wonderful lady from Germany
Yesterday, I guided a lady from Germany. She is in her mid 20s. She doesn't want her pictures taken but she is really smart and wonderful.I guided her in Kamakura on the 15th of November. She doesn't have a negative comment or complaints and had good manners in eating. I believe that she was born and raised from a good family. She also grew up with much love from her family. I am very happy to meet a wonderful lady like her. These are just some of the perks of being a tour guide.
Not a Roman Holiday, but a Japanese Holiday!
They are visitors from Rome.We went to a traditional soba restaurant and ate Japanese soba. When you eat soba, it's customary to make a noise while sipping. However, this is difficult for foreigners.Although they are good at using chopsticks, they seemed reluctant to eat with noise. They were quiet until the end.
The Metropolitan Outer Area Underground Floodwater Discharge Channel
This is an underground river constructed to prevent flood damage by draining water from small and medium-sized rivers. We have to go up and down 116 stairsteps as this is the only available passage.I highly recommend visiting here if you are okay with the number of steps to take.

Especially the lady used to live in Urayasu for a couple of years as an English teacher. It seems that everything has brought back memories of her experiences those days.

Tourists from the U.S.A. enjoyed being exposed to traditional Japanese culture
We visited Edo Taito Shitamachi Crafts Center. They enjoyed Hina doll (a doll displayed at the Girl’s Festival in Japan), tortoiseshell accessories, and other traditional Japanese crafts. At Kappabashi, they were interested in Japanese bamboo-made chopsticks and table mats made of Japanese paper.
