Sisters and brother-in-law from Brazil in Tokyo
Because this is the first time visit to Japan for the brother-in-law, they visited the most popular touristic spots in Tokyo. They are the observatory of Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office Building, Meiji Shrine including Takeshita street, Imperial Palace and Asakusa. Luckily there held the Autumn Big Festival in Meiji Shrine where they could enjoy Gagaku (ceremonial music of the Imperial court of Japan), watch the parade of Shinto priests and several children in Kimono who celebrate seven-five-three festival.

They assisted the ritual by Buddhist monks in Fukagawafudooson, they were surprised with how large Sumo wrestlers, seeing their hands and foot in scribed on the stone monument at the Tomioka Hachimanguu Shrine and they could learn the life style of usual people in Edo (present Tokyo) in the middle of 19th century at Fukagawa-Edo museum. Finally they got relaxed sitting on the lawn at the Imperial Palace park. They really like the quiet and calm ambient.

Japan’ s Oldest Places in Asakusa
Together with our guests from Belgium, we explored Asakusa area. We took the oldest subway in Japan Ginza line to get there. Then we visited Kamiya bar and had a glass of famous Denki Bran liqueur. We also visited Asakusa underground shopping street where a movie “Perfect Days “was shot. Finally, we passed by Hanayashiki amusement park. All three places are the oldest establishment in Japan in each category.
